M J Mapp is a specialist firm of chartered surveyor, providing “best in sector” advice and service levels on the management of commercial and retail property in the UK. M J Mapp employs over 160 people across four offices and the sites that we manage on behalf of our clients.
M J Mapp is committed to ensuring the properties we are responsible for are managed to the highest possible standard. A broad knowledge of the risks facing the property we manage enables us to offer the best advice on how to mitigate against immediate risk, influence investment strategies and build resilience into our clients’ portfolios.
Property affects, and is affected by, the environment throughout its lifecycle. M J Mapp retains the responsibility to control or influence the activities at each property to deliver positive environmental outcomes including taking steps to prevent incidents of pollution.
To manage this responsibility we have chosen to operate an environmental management system (EMS), certified to ISO 14001 as a means of demonstrating our commitment to all interested parties. Certification provides assurance that we are operating within the requirements of applicable compliance obligations, to the benefit of the environment.
The responsibility for the governance and implementation of this policy, its objectives, and for ensuring the continual improvement of the EMS lies with M J Mapp’s Head of Sustainability who is also tasked with periodically reviewing the policy to ensure its continued suitability.
This responsibility has been delegated by M J Mapp’s Managing Director, David Clein who retains accountability for this policy and ensuring it is upheld.
