(Re)writing History – Creative Writing Workshops – Dundee Streets
Knights Theatre is delighted to bring an exciting opportunity for the community to take part in a series of creative writing workshops held at Dundee Central Library to tell stories of the social history of Dundee.
You can be a first-time writer with a burning story to tell or someone who has written before – all are welcome!
The first workshop will include visiting The McManus’ The Street exhibition to help inspire and unlock ideas. The Street is a reconstruction of some of the iconic shops and places of Dundee’s past and will help shape stories participants may want to tell.
After the initial museum visit, there will be three creative writing workshops at Central Library led by Matthew and finally, in week five, a sharing of the work to a small invited audience.
Dates:
11 – 1pm
Tuesdays 16th, 23rd, 30th August, 6th September
with a sharing of work on 13th September (4-6pm).
To book a place please email contact@knightstheatre.co.uk by Wednesday 10th of August with a bit about yourself, where you live and if you would like to apply for a free workshop space.
